Pa. Ranjith lavishes praise on Karthi

The audio of Madras composed by Santhosh Narayanan is declared a hit. Songs are already topping the charts on various radio stations. Karthi who is badly awaiting a much-needed comeback is counting on Madras to do the trick. On the title of the film, he says “Even today, when I talk to someone, I still tend to refer to my place as ‘Madras’ instead of ‘Chennai’. Now after working on this film, this too has become one of my favourites. Since I have been born and brought up in Chennai, to pick up the North Chennai lingo was not that difficult.”

Director Pa. Ranjith lavishes praise on his hero. He says, “The movie will reflect the life of people in North Madras which has its own characteristic style. Karthi has given his 100 per cent and lived in the character of Kaali. His dedication is amazing. At times we even shot some of the scenes in minuscule rooms for days together. If he comes in front of the camera, he becomes Kaali, not Karthi”
