Madras censored UA; all set for release on September 26th

Karthi’s Madras has been certified UA by the censor board officials today. The film will have a grand release on September 26th and an interesting box-office clash is ahead with Vishnu’s Jeeva which is also releasing the same day. Directed by Suseenthiran, the distribution rights for Jeeva have been acquired by Arya’s The Show People and Vishal’s Vishal Film Factory. Vishal and Arya’s participation in the project have bolstered the film’s prospects at the box-office now.

Meanwhile, Madras is produced by Studio Green and is expected to release in fairly large number of screens than their previous ones, thanks to the positive buzz around the film. Directed by Pa. Ranjith of Attakathi fame, Madras has newbie Catherina Tresa playing the female lead. This much-anticipated film will be released via Kollywood’s recently floated joint distribution venture Dream Factory.
