Two real-life boxers as female leads for Maddy

Madhavan’s upcoming bi-lingual in Tamil and Hindi, Irudhi Sutru has two real-life boxers as female leads. Ritika Singh and Mumtaz Sorcar, two professional boxers have been roped in play the lead roles opposite Maddy in the film. It is directed by Sudha K Prasad of Dhrogi fame and produced by Sashikanth of YNOT Studios. The movie also Santhosh Narayanan’s debut in Bollywood.

“Maddy plays a boxing coach. He has been toning his physique for this role in Los Angeles for the past few months. People in the north are only used to films like Chennai Express set in the south, but this one will present the real flavour of Chennai to them,” says Sashikanth to a daily. In addition to being a full-fledged sports drama, the film will also focus on the  human side of the boxing world.
