Madhan Karky to be busy till 2016 for SS Rajamouli

Madhan Karky is one of the busiest lyricist-dialogue writers in Tamil cinema. Apart from writing lyrics for myriad number of songs in a sizeable number of films, he is also penning dialogues for Aishwarya Dhanush’s Vai Raja Vai – which has Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in lead roles and Venkat Prabhu’s Masss – which has Suriya, Nayanthara and Amy Jackson in lead roles. But, the project which Madhan Karky considers to be challenging is writing dialogues in chaste Tamil for SS Rajamouli’s bi-lingual epic film Mahaabali. 

“Since it is a period film, the dialogues have to be in chaste Tamil. However, we wanted it to be the kind of Tamil that everyone understands. Mahaabali is a totally different experience for me and I’m going to be occupied with this project till 2016. So, I’m actually trying to take only one other dialogue writing project alongside this one till then,” says Madhan Karky to a daily.

Mahaabali features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah, Anushka, Nassar, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan in important roles. The film will be released in two parts – the first part is slated to release for summer 2015.
