Maari 2 to kickoff from early 2017

Director Balaji Mohan is currently working on the script of Dhanush’s Maari 2, a sequel to the 2015 gangster action comedy Maari, which received lukewarm reviews from critics and the general public. He has confirmed now that the film will go on floors from early 2017.

Dhanush is expected to wrap up major portions of Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai towards the end of this year and start Maari 2 from early 2017. He is currently awaiting the release of political drama Kodi and romance thriller Thodari, which is expected to hit screens on August 12th.
