Udhaynidhi Stalin’s Maamannan met the hype on day one, with the film opening as the career best opening for the actor, grossing 9.2 crores on day one in TN. The film took a solid opening in even in the mass centres of TN, and has generated great buzz to carry on well for the weekend.
Maamannan is being written home as a strong voice with superb dialogues and the interval block is being celebrated as one of the best scenes this year in Tamil cinema. AR Rahman has also got a fabulous reception for its songs and score in the film.
