“Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam is very bold and modern,” says Selvaraghavan

Speaking at the press meet of Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam, Selvaragahavan showered praise on his wife Geetanjali Selvaraghavan, who makes her directorial debut with the film. “I saw the final mix yesterday. The film has come out really well. Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam is very bold and modern. Geetanjali has worked really hard and it will be surprising to see a woman director handle such sensitive theme that concerns men,” said Selva.

“I have never given my script for anyone to direct before. This is the first time and I was skeptical in the beginning. But, Geetanjali convinced me. After watching the first rushes, I was wholly satisfied that this team could make it,” added Selvaraghavan who has penned the screenplay for the film. Starring Bala Krishna and Wamiqa Gabba in the lead roles, Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam, which is slated for release on January 1st,  is produced by ace editor Kola Baskar.
