That Dhanush is a fervent devotee of Rajinikanth is a well-known fact. Who can forget his countdown to Lingaa a week before its release on his official social media page? He flocked to Kasi theater for the midnight opening show along with his family and friends to watch Rajinikanth on screen. Speaking at the promotional event of Velai Illa Pattathari’s Telugu version in Hyderabad, Dhanush expressed his desire to work with Thalaivar when quizzed by a journo.

“I would love to work with Rajinikanth sir. If at all an opportunity comes, I will be really happy,” told Dhanush who is currently busy shooting the final leg of Balaji Mohan’s Maari where he is paired with Kajal Aggarwal for the first time.
