Lisa Haydon to reprise her role in Queen Tamil remake
It was only yesterday that news about the remake rights for the Hindi film Queen broke. Actor-director-producer Thiagarajan has acquired the remake rights for the film in all the four South Indian languages after he was totally impressed with the film’s story-line. Yesterday, the micro-blogging platform Twitter was abuzz with suggestions on who should reprise Kangana’s role in Tamil. Nayanthara seemed to be the popular choice of netizens.
Lisa Haydon, who played the supporting role in the film, earned a lot of praise from critics for her performance. The team is planning to start work on all the four remakes simultaneously and release them by 2015. On the cast, Thiagrajan says, “For the protagonist, we need an actress who can look sober, and at the same time, have a carefree attitude. Some of the top heroines here have shown interest. We have spoken to Lisa Haydon about reprising her role in all the four languages.” He also revealed that he is looking a rope in young film-makers who are just two or three films old to wield the megaphone.
