LEO hits the 400 crore mark worldwide in four days, fastest Tamil film to the milestone!
Thalapathy Vijay’s LEO is a mega blockbuster already, as it has gone past the 400 crore mark worldwide in a span of just four days. The film has been reported on global box office tracking platform Comscore, as the third highest opener worldwide for the past weekend. Leo is just behind Killers of the Flower Moon and Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour for the weekend.
LEO has also crossed the 100 crore mark in TN, registering as the fastest to hit the number in the history of Tamil cinema, also making it the seventh film of Thalapathy Vijay to do so consecutively right from Mersal. In Kerala, the film has grossed more than 35 crores until now, and is set to beat Vikram in a few more days. In the Telugu states, Leo has broken even with more than 30 crores gross. In Karnataka the film has already grossed over 25 crores, however it has dropped a bit but is sure to break even within the coming days.
In the USA and North America, LEO is on its way to break into the 5 million club, and has performed exceedingly well in the UK as well by minting £1.24M in the opening weekend. The film has grossed more than 40 crores from the UAE + Middle East market, making it a major contributor to the region. In France, Leo registers 27.5K admits in the opening 4 days, which is indeed a record breaking one for a Tamil film.
In totality, LEO has indeed turned out to be a path-breaking blockbuster for Tamil cinema.
