Legendary singer SPB passes away at 1.04 PM in Chennai
Legendary Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam aka SPB, who was battling COVID-19 and on ventilator support for the past few days in Chennai’s MGM Healthcare Hospital, passed away today at 1.04 PM.
Kamal Haasan, Bharathiraja and a few other prominent faces from the industry met him at the hospital before he breathed his last. SPB has over 40,000 songs to his credit across major Indian languages and has ruled more than five decades in the Indian film and music industry, giving voices to generations of actors. He was 74 and is survived by his son and daughter.
