Legendary Balu Mahendra is no more

Ace Cinematographer/Director, Legendary Balu Mahendra (74) who gave us classics like Moodu Pani, Moondram Pirai, Veedu, Marupadiyum, Sathi Leelavathy etc and cranked lens for master piece Mullum Malarum and many other award films, has passed away today (Feb 13th) in a Private Hospital, Chennai. The legend was hospitalized earlier today and admitted in critical care section, if mentioned.

Balu Mahendra’s last release was ‘Thalaimuraigal’ and it was critically acclaimed well for its plot and for his realistic performance in the film.

Balu Mahendra’s cremation will be happening tomorrow (feb 14th) and his body will be kept in his studio located at Saligramam for homage.
