I want to play dad to Vijay, Suriya, Dhanush, Vishal

Remember KSG Venkatesh, the devout, god-fearing businessman who gets conned by Natty in Sathuranga Vettai’s best sequence – Rice Pulling – in the second half? He wants to do different kinds of roles and looking forward for his second innings in cinema. “My good friend Manobala saw my recent Facebook posts on my temple visits. He was producing his first film and thought I would be apt for the role,” reveals Venkatesh to a daily.

“In recent times, I admire the roles essayed by Sathyaraj, Jayaprakash, Illavarasan, Ponvannan, Samudrakani, Aadukalam Naren and others. I want to do a gamut of roles — don, corporate executive, or dad to actors like Surya, Vijay, Dhanush, Vishal or Vikram Prabhu. It would give me double the pleasure, as they are second generation film industry folks,” says Venkatesh who is currently acting in CV Kumar’s Mayavan.
