Keyar advocates stern measures for namesake protesters

Keyar, the ex-president of Tamil Film producer’s council has released a press notice regarding the lots of challenges Tamil Film industry is facing in the recent years.

Protests against films’ release in the name of religion, caste and individuals suing for the title and story plagiarism are shooting up. While most being mere publicity stunts, the film industry is the sole sufferer. When Film distributors and theatre owners back out due to such protests, months of hardships go waste, whereas the protestors n suers have nothing to lose in this game. He has also placed his request on behalf of Film industry to the chief justice high court, central minister – law, information and broadcasting department to enact laws where the suers have to deposit 10% of the total budget before filing a plea, issued Keyar in the Press notice.
