Kayal to release on December 25th?

Prabhu Solomon’s Kayal, which is currently under post-production, is likely to release on the Christmas day. The makers feel that the film being a Tsunami-based subject will garner more attention when it releases on December 25th since it was on December 26th, 2004 the disastrous Tsunami took away the myriad number of lives. Prabhu Solomon earlier told that Kayal is, in fact, a tribute to Tsunami victims. We reported about it here.

The audio composed by D. Imman will release in November. The climax, which was extensively shot in Kanyakumari, is said to be the highlight of the film. It is worth remembering that Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki was also released in December and we wonder if the director follows the sentiment. Anandhi of Poriyaalan fame plays the titular role.
