Music composer D. Imman says Prabhu Solomon’s Kayal is not set in the backdrop of coastal areas like Kadal or Neerparavai though the last twenty minutes of the film is centered on the Tsunami disaster in 2004. “Only the climax portion is set in the coastal region. It’s not like Kadal or Neerparavai, which were entirely set in seaside villages. This movie is a travel involving the main characters, so there are a lot of location changes, and only the last 20 minutes of the film takes place on the coastal side,” says Imman to a daily.
Imman also says Kayal is very close to his heart and that the film is replete with feel-good numbers. Starring Anandhi of Poriyaalan fame in the lead role, the film is currently under post-production stage.
