- We have put in so more hard work for Kaththi than Thuppakki and hope to reap more benefits. If Thuppakki had a ‘mass’ appeal, Kaththi will have a ‘class’ appeal. - Double role is something totally new to me and Vijay’s dedication is also new in this film. Vijay’s mannerisms, looks have been meticulously taken care of. One Vijay is a con man and another Vijay in the film is ‘special’. Thuppakki is a fast-paced thriller. Kaththi will move at a leisurely pace. Awareness is the core of the film; Kaththi will be remembered for at least ten years down the line. You would have never seen Vijay like this before. I wanted Kaththi to be a unique and more importantly to be better than Thuppakki, and my desire is coming to fruition
- Kaththi will be a big break for Samantha. If I rope in a composer with whom I already worked before, I know how could he compose for a scene, I could sense. I wanted to go for something fresh. Novel music and camerawork, I believed, will take the film to a different level
