The Kaththi controversy has not subdued yet. While 65 Tamil groups have jointly threatened to stage a protest against the film hindering its release, we have learnt the developments inside the Kaththi team. Vijay, who earlier suffered a bitter ordeal during his Thalaivaa release, along with AR Murugadoss seems to have mulled over various options for an hassle-free release of the film. AR Murugadoss, who shares a good rapport with Fox Star Studios – thanks to his previous collaborations with the production house, seems to have approached the team and contemplated a possible takeover of the project.
Subhaskaran of Lyca Productions was totally unhappy and is still not convinced about handing over the film to anyone. Lyca still believes that they can convince Tamil groups and is hoping to release the film as planned under their banner. The recent first-look posters, which emerged all of a sudden, was to suggest everyone that the project is still in Lyca’s hands, says a source. In fact, if you had noticed, the posters which were released few days back had nothing new except the superimposition of credits.
The makers are planning to confront the Tamil groups and press soon with ample evidences to disprove allegations in the media. Since the audio launch is scheduled on Septemeber 18th, the press meet is likely to be held before that.
