Kaththi: First non-Rajinikanth/Kamal Haasan film to gross $500K in the USA!
Vijay – AR Murugadoss’s combo has outperformed their previous best with their recently released film Kaththi. It is doing wonders at the box-office, both overseas and back home. Kaththi has become the first non-Rajinikanth/Kamal Haasan film to gross $ 500K in the USA and is on its way to join the all-time top 5 grossers there. Endhiran, Vishwaroopam, Sivaji, Dasavatharam and Kochadaiyaan occupy the top five slots in the USA. Kochadaiyaan’s $ 635K gross is also the highest in 2014. Trade sources expect Kaththi to beat Kochadaiyaan’s box-office record by tomorrow in the USA.
Meanwhile, in France, Kaththi has collected more than €95K in four days (Wednesday , Thursday, Friday & Saturday) and outperformed Ajith’s Veeram and Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan already. Kaththi collection is also the highest this year in Australia with A$160,979 . The film’s overall collection stands at approximately 65 crores and is expected to touch the prestigious 100 crore club this week soon.
