Actor Karunakaran’s transition from short-film circle to the big screen is an incredible journey in itself. He debuted in Kollywood with a hilarious role in Sundar C’s comic-caper Kalakalappu. Since then, there’s nothing stopping the rise of Karunakaran. His interestingly-constructed character roles in Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum, Yaamiruka Bayamey and Jigarthanda with newage filmmakers like Nalan Kumarasamy and Karthik Subbaraj have earned him immense appreciation from critics and film buffs alike. His popularity is so much that he received a call from KS Ravikumar to act in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa and has successfully completed his portions acting alongside his idol.
Now, he plays a lead role in Aadama Jaichomada directed by Badri of Thillu Mullu 2013 fame. While Bobby Simhaa plays a brief but important role in the film, it is Karunakaran’s character around which the film is centered and his role is integral to the story, says a source close to the film’s unit. Mirchi Shiva debuts as a dialogue writer with this film which has adequately entertaining songs composed by Sean Roldan.
