Karthika Nair’s action avatar in Tollywood

Karthika Nair, who is essaying an adventurous role in SP Jananathan’s mulit-starrer Purampokku, will be seen in an action avatar for the first time in her upcoming yet-untitled Telugu action comedy directed by Chinni Krishna. Looks like the Ko actress is hunting for performance-oriented roles rather than done-to-death mainstream heroine roles.

“My role is not a typical action-fighting role, but very adventurous. I had to learn geared bike riding as well as fast geared jeep for the film,” said Karthika earlier in an interview. Now comes a film where she actually dons an action avatar on par with the hero. “Karthika has put on her action boots for this film. She plays a courageous sister who comes to the rescue of the hero whenever he’s in trouble. She will stun audiences with her stunts in the movie,” says director Chinni Krishna about her role to IANS.
