Karthik Subbaraj’s Mercury to release everywhere else on April 13th but Tamil Nadu

Karthik Subbaraj’s silent thriller Mercury will release everywhere else on April 13th except Tamil Nadu, where the industry reeling under the month-long strike.

“To clarify certain confusions… #Mercury team including me, the director, all the cast, crew and producers have been honestly supporting the TNFPC strike going on and we have already decided to not release the Tamil version of our film in TN until the strike is over… We too like thousands of film industry workers are hoping for a fruitful solution to all our problems,” posted Karthik on his Twitter page.

Mercury stars Prabhu Deva in the lead role and is based on the Kodaikanal Mercury poisoning issue.
