Karthik Subbaraj – Prabhu Deva’s ‘Mercury’ is a silent film
Karthik Subbaraj’s next with Prabhu Deva has been titled, Mercury. The movie will be a silent film and has no dialogues. “The story revolves around college students. Prabhu Deva plays the role of an antagonist for the first time in his career,” said Karthik Subbaraj.
“We have been fortunate to find new like-minded partners – Mr. Kal Raman (USA) & Mr.Somasegar (USA), whose expertise we believe will add a new perspective with respect to expansion. And here we are. Stone Bench Private Limited is happy to announce the launch of its two new divisions – Films & Originals,” reads an official statement from Stone Bench, Karthik Subbaraj’s production banner.
Stone Bench Films in its first phase is producing two feature films in Tamil – the first being “Meyaadha Maan” – a romantic drama set in North Madras starring Vaibhav and Priya Bhavanishankar in the lead, written and directed by debutant Rathna Kumar and the second being “Mercury” – a film by Karthik Subbaraj starring India’s Pride Prabhudeva in the lead with cinematography by National Award-Winning ace cinematographer Tirru. Both films are being produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam.
