Karthi to shed extra kilos for Mani Ratnam

Karthi has confirmed that Mani Ratnam has told him to shed extra kilos for his role. Karthi who worked as an assistant to Mani Ratnam in Aayutha Ezhuthu before branching out as a full-fledged lead hero in Paruthi Veeran is joining hands with the ace filmmaker for the first time in this yet-to-be-named project.

Mani Ratnam is planning to kickstart shooting from June as soon as Karthi wraps up his multifangled Kashmora, which is currently progressing at a brisk pace. We can expect to see a slimmer Karthi on screen in Mani’s film, in which Sai Pallavi is reportedly playing the female lead.
