Karthi likely to play lead in Maniratnam’s next

Post tasting success with OK Kanmani, Maniratnam seems locked the lead for his next directorial. Reliable sources confirms that Karthi will be seen as protagonist in this biggie and the star is yet to sign on the dotted line. Though the project is in initial stages of talk, the genre of the film and other details on the project hasn’t finalized.

It is worth mentioning here that Karthi was supposed to do Arjun (Siddharth) character in Aayutha Ezhuthu and later he decided to assist the director before making his acting debut in Paruthi Veeran.

With promising films in his kitty, Kashmora with Director Gokul and an untitled bilingual with Nagarjuna – Tamannah, Karthi is expected to kickstart Maniratnam’s film in September if everything goes as planned. Lets wait for the official word in the meanwhile.
