What’s the story of Karthi’s Madras

There are reasons more than one to confirm that Karthi’s upcoming film with director Pa. Ranjith of Attakathi fame has more chances of being titled Madras and not Kaali. One is that the film’s story revolves around a part of the state’s capital. The film’s title was eagerly expected by Karthi’s fans on Sunday the since the actor celebrated his birthday on May 25th. But, the impatient wait still continues.

“Like Ranjith’s earlier film, this one too is set in north Madras and showcases the culture of the people of the area. Generally, if the hero in a film hails from north Madras, he will be shown as an uneducated guy but in this film, Karthi will be seen as a civilized and educated young man,” says a trusted source in the know. Karthi has already started dubbing for the film whee he is paired with Catherine Tresa, a Malayalam actress and will move on to his next once he’s done.
