Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce bans Kaala release in the state

Sa Ra Govindu, President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC), has confirmed the ban on Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala in the state in an official statement.

He has said that several pro-Kannadiga groups have sent letters to the chamber seeking a ban on the film in Karnataka. “Rajinikanth’s remarks in the Cauvery issue has hurt the sentiments of Kannadigas,” he added.

Several fringe groups headed by Vattal Nagaraj have also sought a ban on the film’s release in Karnataka. Kaala is set to hit the theaters on June 7.
