Delightfully entertaining soundtrack from Dhibu Ninan Thomas!
Dhibu Ninan Thomas shows great promise with the soundtrack of Kanaa, his hook placements and rhythmic sounds correlate themselves wonderfully. With no-nonsense lyrics and a perfect pick of singers, it comes off as a worthy mood up-lifter with terrific repeat value. Don’t miss this one!

Vaayadi Petha Pulla: Singers – Aaradhana Sivakarthikeyan, Sivakarthikeyan, Vaikom Vijaylakshmi
Aaradhana Sivakarthikeyan is such a revelation. She gives the song a cute angle which wouldn’t have been there if this one had been approached in usual fashion. Her dad takes off superbly from where she lets go, and this then elevates into a song that will easily bring in the jolly mood. Dhibu maintains the positive vibe right until the end, this is a PICK straight away.
Oonjala Oonjala: Singers – Sid Sriram, Niranjana Ramanan
Come on, you can’t fail if Sid Sriram is singing your track. It’s amazing how this song has a Carnatic background to its stylish organization, making it a fusion that works in full. Niranjana Ramanan’s hums give it the extra edge adding to the motivation factor. Another PICK.
Kanne En Kannazhage: Singer – Kapil Kapilan
A generic pathos track that stands up mainly because of its lead singer. Decent enough.
Othaiyadi Paathayile: Singer – Anirudh Ravichander
Look in closely, and you can find traces of Vidyasagar in Dhibu’s orchestration. It’s a simple folk beat that brings back the old-school vibes, and makes the song so relatable. When Anirudh goes ‘Adiye.. adiye..’ you can’t help but sing along, it’s nice to see him explore new patches with his rendition. Lovely stuff. Our PICK.

Horns, rap, drums and motivation – a combination of all these to arrive at a ‘mass’ song that would be required in the narration.
