Kamal returns as Balram Naidu in his next

After a section of the media had speculated Kamal Hassan’s return as the iconic Balram Naidu character from Dasavatharam for his new film, there was no clarity on the final result. However, a source from the unit has now confirmed that Kamal is indeed bringing back the character for more fun, in next film to be directed by TK Rajeev Kumar.

Said to be an action comedy, the film will predominantly be shot in the USA. Kamal will be launching the same at the new Nadigar Sangam grounds in Chennai, where a big tent is being put up.

Ilaiyaraja composes music for this venture, while Ramya Krishnan and Shruti Hassan play Kamal’s wife and daughter respectively.
