In a series of articles on Kamal Haasan’s tryst with the classical arts written by Baradwaj Rangan, Ulaganayagan has been revealing some gems about his early phase in the industry and in the seventh feature, he has disclosed that he worked as a barber when he was a kid. Apparently, Kamal Haasan worked as a barber for a week in Ambuli Saloon in front of his house when he was a kid since his mother complained that he was not doing anything usefully. “They wouldn’t let me cut hair, but shaving was okay. Even today, all my moustaches, including the one for Virumaandi, were shaved by me,” says Kamal Haasan.
Kamal Haasan is currently busy working with Jeethu Joseph’s Papanasam, the remake of Malayalam superhit film Drishyam. There are also reports that his Uttama Villain, which is currently under post-production, will see the light of day on November 7 to coincide with the star’s birthday.
