Ghibran fascinated by Kamal’s insights

That Kamal Haasan is a master of masquerades is a well-known fact. The latest to join Kamal’s admirers list is none other than music composer Ghibran of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame. In an interview to a magazine, Ghibran has opened up about how he arrived as Kamal’s choice to compose music for Vishwaroopam 2 and Uttama Villain and his friendly advises for the musician. Apparently, Kamal had listened to the super hit song Sara Sara Saara Kaathu and heaped praise on Ghibran to his friend Vairamuthu, who had written lyrics for the song.

Ghibran immediately received a call from Rajkamal International and like that, he was on board for Vishwaroopam 2. During the recording sessions, Ghibran was astonished by Kamal’s knowledge and insights on carnatic, hindustani and western music. Ghibran says, “It was fascinating the way he narrates a situation to the composer and the manner in which he demands a particular style of music.”

Vishwaroopam totally has 4 tracks. Kamal has penned the lyrics for a song and he has sung it too. He has also written lyrics for a song in Uttama Villain. Vishwaroopam, albeit mired by controversies, was widely received by the audiences and critics last year. While speculations are rife that Vishwaroopam 2 is slated for a release in July and Uttama Villain will join the Diwali bangwagon, an official announcement is still awaited.
