Kamal Haasan to sell Thoongaavanam rights to Thirupathi Brothers
Following the debacle of Uttama Villain, it was reported that Kamal Haasan will do a small budget film for Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers to compensate for the losses incurred. Now, reliable sources say Kamal Haasan is planning to sell the distribution rights of his upcoming film Thoongaavanam to Lingusamy on some terms.
The film was expected to be wrapped up on August 4th but now it looks like the standoff between FEFSI and TFPC will cause a slight delay in the completion. Featuring Trisha, Kishore, Prakash Raj and Sampath in important roles, Thoongaavanam is directed by Rajesh Selvam, Kamal Haasan’s long-standing associate. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan’s recently released Papanasam is declared a Super Hit and is undoubtedly a profit venture for exhibitors as well.
