Haasan has said that he worked on Uttama Villain on a first copy basis for Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers and finished his work properly. When the film incurred losses, Haasan argues that he promised to work on another project for Lingusamy to compensate. However, since there was no response from Lingusamy’s end, Haasan says he dropped it. Haasan also argues that he has nothing to pay to Gnanavel Raja and says he has no ties with the producer.
