Kamal Haasan kickstarts PM Narendra Modi’s Clean India campaign with his fans

Come November 7th 2014, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will celebrate this 60th birthday and his 54th year in the industry. To mark the occasion, Kamal Haasan, who earlier accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to be a part of the Swachh Bharat Campaign (Clean India Campaign), will officially launch the lake cleaning initiative with the help of his fans. “As part of the Clean India Campaign “Kamal Haasan will lead the volunteers of the “Narpani Iyakkam”, on his birthday on 7 cleaning up of Madhambakkam lake, on Tambaram Velacheri Main Road, near Rajakilpakkam junction, Chennai. On the occasion, his friends and well-wishers from the film fraternity will join the campaign and felicitate,” said an official press note.

“On the same evening at 3 P.M Kamal Haasan will address the press at Anna auditorium in the Beach Road, Chennai. During the occasion, he would share with the press and the public regarding the furtherance of the Clean India Campaign and the various welfare measures undertaken by the Narpani Iyakkam,” the press note added.
