Kamal Haasan has never complained to Gauthami

Kamal Haasan’s tuxedo at Cannes Film Festival left his fans in awe. Everyone looked stunned with the ageless look of Ulaganayagan on the red carpet and went gung-ho about it on social media. Gauthami who always has designed the outfits of Kamal Haasan is the woman behind his Cannes’ outfit too. “He prefer wearing classic suits, albeit with a twist. And when I say twist, I mean a slight variation in the way the cuts or the buttons are placed on his suits. The change will be very subtle but noticeable,” says Gauthami.

Gauthami feels western outfits look great on Kamal Haasan than Indian and hence she preferred it for the red carpet. When asked about whether Kamal has any suggestions or second opinions in designing his outfits, “He did not complain or ask anything when it came to the different looks that I had planned for him. It was really touching to see the amount of trust he had on me,” she says with pride.
