Kamal Haasan gets another prestigious honour

Cannes Film Festival is one of the oldest and largest film festivals happening in the world. Filmmakers and screenwriters yearn to attend the festival at least once in a lifetime. But, Kamal Haasan need not. Our Ulaganayagan will inaugurate the India Pavilion section in the 67th Cannes Film Festival which kickstarts on May 14th. Kamal Haasan will exercise this prestigious honor as the incumbent Chairman of FICCI’s Media and Entertainment Conclave.

The India Pavilion in CFF will “showcase Indian cinema across linguistic, cultural and regional diversity, with the aim of forging international partnerships in the realms of distribution, production, filming in India, script development and technology, and promoting film sales and syndication,” according to an official press note.
