Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum Movie Preview

Even as Sethupathi is still running to packed houses in few screens across the state, Vijay Sethupathi has his next film ready to hit screens. Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum is an official remake of the Korean film My Dear Desperado which revolves around the blossoming of love between a gangster and his new neighbor. Director Nalan Kumarasamy made heads turn with his competent debut in Soodhu Kavvum, a trendsetting film, with Vijay Sethupathi and the coming back of this duo has already raised enough expectations among audiences.

The trailer and promo videos of KaKaKaPo hint a tinge of Naanum Rowdy Thaan as far as Vijay Sethupathi’s role of a gangster is concerned. The wackiness of Nalan and the lovely comedy timing of Vijay Sethupathi are very much evident in the film’s trailer, which showed us a glimpse of what we are in for. Santhosh Narayanan’s eccentric album looks like an OST which moves the story forward with Nalan’s visuals. Bongu Kichan, with its quirky lyrics by Vivek, is already topping charts.

How Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian fall in love with each other has been told with a lot of pragmatic sense unlike other romance films. Our movie has realistic, believable romance sequences between the leads. Comedy will be an integral part of the film right from the beginning

Vijay Sethupathi

I play a lazy, aimless person in the film. It’s a rom-com without overt romance. I play Kathir, a henchman of a local councillor.

Madonna Sebastian

I’m a fan of Vijay Sethupathi’s acting as subtlety is his style. He has the talent for effectively communicating his character in a subtle manner

Samuthirakani

I appear in only three scenes. The character is a rough-and-tough guy, but someone who is very simple and genuine and believes in what he thinks is right

Produced by Studio Green and Abi and Abi Pictures, Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum is all set for release on March 11th in over 300 screens across Tamil Nadu.
