Pradeep Krishnamoorthy’s Kabadadaari is a fine remake that keeps the source content of the original intact and wraps around a mostly interesting set of events that keep us engaged for most parts of the runtime.

The film sets the stage by finding the right pace in the first half with its chronicles being put forward one by one, and then moves on to the background of the storyline deeply in the second half. Pradeep Krishnamoorthy gets his placement right at most places, as the film rarely suffers from dull moments in the first half, with lots of information being handed over through a bullet point screenplay. It is only in the second half that some of the episodes stutter, but the film manages to bring back itself to the centre stage in the final showdown.

Sibi Sathyaraj brings about a decent performance in the lead role, playing the cop who wants to go one step up in life. The actor gets to play a well-written role and does his best to do justice to it.

Nasser is adequate in his part, while Jayaprakash is a good fit, proving his mettle once again.
Simon King’s extraordinary score is the biggest plus point of the film. Right from the title sequence, the composer does his best to hike up the intensity in the proceedings, and that works out in a huge way for the film. The cinematography by Rasamathi brings in many good frames too.

On the whole, Kabadadaari is a fair and fine watch which will interest viewers with its long drawn out yet engaging screenplay. If you haven’t seen the original, the film will turn out to be all the more intriguing for you. Pradeep Krishnamoorthy turns up with another well-shot film that has its visuals and music speaking for itself.  Kabadadaari Movie Review by Siddarth Srinivas
