Kaaviya Thalaivan trailer from Diwali; release likely on Nov 7th!

Vasantha Balan’s Kaaviya Thalaivan which was originally set to release in August was postponed due to a spate of releases then. Two days back, we reported here that the film is likely to clash with R.Kannan’s Oru Oorla Rendu Raja on November 7th. Now, reliable sources say the makers have locked November 7th as the release date thanks to the postponement of Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain. Also, the team has confirmed that the trailer will be released on Diwali.

AR Rahman is said to be actively working on the background score of the film. Kaaviya Thalaivan is a film on drama and theatre artistes in the early 20th century. The story revolves around Siddharth and Prithviraj’s rivalry in the field. Siddharth plays the lead role of Thalaivankottai Kaliappa Bhagavathar while Prithviraj plays his competitor, Melachivilberi Gomathi Nayagam Pillai.
