Kaatru Veliyidai action sequences to be shot in Ladakh

Director Mani Ratnam is planning to shoot some important action sequences of Kaatru Veliyidai in Ladakh, Kashmir from early October. Mani Ratnam is currently zeroing in on locations along with stunt director Sham Kaushal, who is best known for his work in PK, 3 Idiots and the Academy award-winning Slumdog Millionaire. 

Sources say it will be a realistic, cross-border action block in Mani Ratnam’s trademark style. It must be noted that Mani Ratnam will be shooting in the valley for the second time after Uyire. Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, Kaatru Veliyidai has a stellar supporting cast in Shraddha Srinath, RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganesh, Vipin Sharma, KPAC Lalitha and Rukmini Vijayakumar. AR Rahman composes music for the project.
