Kaala enters history; becomes first Indian film to release in Saudi Arabia
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala has entered the history books by becoming the first Indian movie to release in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which lifted its 35-year-old ban on theatrical film screening a few months back.
Marvel/Disney’s Black Panther directed by Ryan Coogler was the first film to release in Saudi Arabia after the ban was lifted. Yesterday, during the Twitter Q & A, composer Santhosh Narayanan said how densely layered Kaala would be along the lines of Black Panther.
