Glad to share screen space with K. Balachandar in Uttama Villain: K. Vishwanth

K. Vishwanath and K. Balachandar are often credited for revolutionizing South Indian cinema in the 80s with their path-breaking films and trend-setting attempts. When they both decided to come together for a film to ‘act’, it took everyone by surprise. Later, everyone seemed happy since it is Uttama Villain, a film which stars their protege Kamal Haasan in a dual role.

On working with K. Balachandar, veteran film-maker K. Vishwanath says, “Kamal convinced us and brought us on board. We enjoyed worked with actors of this generation. In our heyday, Balachandar and I always wanted to spend time on each other’s film sets. We wanted to learn from each other but it never happened because we were extremely busy back then. I’m glad we are now working together in a film.”
