Jayam Raja hints at Thani Oruvan sequel

As Thani Oruvan is making merry at the box office, director Jayam Raja, when asked about the chances of penning a sequel to the film, has responded positively. “When Hollywood can make James Bond and Batman series, why can’t we create a franchise here in Kollywood?,” said Raja.

Raja will next helm the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan which will feature Ram Charan in the lead role. The remake rights for the film in Kannada and Hindi are also in great demand. Also, in a Twitter chat with his fans, Madhavan revealed that the character Siddharth Abhimanyu played by Aravind Swamy, was first offered to him. He also added that he is glad Aravind did the role.
