After Raai Lakshmi, Janani Iyer goes for a name change

After Neetu Chandraa (earlier, Neetu Chandra without an extra a in the end) and Raai Lakshmi (earlier, Lakshmi Rai), now Janani Iyer joins the list of recent actresses who opted for a name change. Unlike her co-stars, she is not literally going a name change, but she has decided to shed a part of her name. Yes, you guessed it right. From now on, Janani Iyer will be called as Janani without the family tag.

Janani says there is no specific reason for her decision. When she happened to watch the preview show of Thegidi, her name appeared on credits as Janani and she seems to have liked it. She says the name worked out well for her and has decided to go on with it for all her upcoming films.
