Atharvaa to take on Jackie Shroff

Jackie Shroff, known for his unconventional and versatile acting, has been roped in to play villain in Atharvaa Murali’s forthcoming film Kanithan, says sources. Jackie broke into Kollywood scene in director Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Aaranya Kaandam, a widely acclaimed neo-noir film. Jackie’s role in the film was thoroughly appreciated by everyone. If the sources are confirmed, this will be Jackie Shroff’s third film in Tamil.

Not to forget that Jackie is also doing one of the pivotal roles in Rajinikanth’s Kochaidaiiyaan. He was also spotted in the grand audio launch held last month in Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. Kanithan is directed by Santhosh and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. It features Atharvaa and Catherine Tresa in the lead roles and has Bhagyaraj, Manobala and YG Mahendra playing supporting roles.
