It’s my body and I can do whatever I wish: Shruti Haasan hits back at body-shamers

Shruti Haasan gave a fitting reply to her trolls on social media platforms. A few have been trolling her for gaining weight for one of her recent roles. “Maintaining an ‘acceptable’ figure for an actress is impossible. We are human. We gain and lose weight for roles and sometimes naturally too,” she said.

“It’s my face, my body. What I do with it is nobody’s business. What people write about me on social media does not bother me. I am not answerable to anyone. Looking good is part of our job, but the unnecessary chatter about weight must be filtered.” she added.

Shruti Haasan recently grabbed the headlines after walking out of Sundar C’s Sangamithra citing there was no bound script from the team.
