Isai faces Lingaa treatment

The lengthy duration of films have been a definite worry of film buffs in K’town of late. Last year, star vehicles like Suriya’s Anjaan and Rajinikanth’s Lingaa which were relatively longer in duration were cut down by minutes to earn the goodwill of audiences after the release.

Now, the latest to join the trimming bandwagon in SJ Suryah’s Isai which is apparently trimmed by seven minutes now. The film is 3 hours and 10 minutes long and a majority has complained about the duration. The makers have finally paid heed to the audiences. The only recent film which was so long but never resorted to trimming is Shankar’s big-budget extravaganza I.
