Beauty queen Aishwarya Rai made her mark with many interesting films in Kollywood before the Bollywood blaze actually took over in her career. Already being a part of Mani Ratnam’s important films such as Iruvar, Raavanan and Guru, the actress might now be making her way back into the industry with the director’s upcoming biggie which is touted to be an onscreen adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan, the legendary novel written by Kalki.
Mani Ratnam has been considering a variety of names such as Vijay, Vikram, STR, Jayam Ravi and Vijay Sethupathy to play pivotal roles in the film, but he is yet to zero in on one name completely. We wait for an official announcement!
