Iru Mugan now eyes Bakrid weekend

Earlier planned as a four-day weekend release on Independence day, the makers of Iru Mugan are now eyeing the three-day Bakrid weekend on September 9th. The movie is currently advancing at a rapid pace and is expected to be wrapped up this month.

Harris Jayaraj had already confirmed that the album will be released this month. Sources say the team is planning to release the official theatrical trailer by next month. Starring Vikram in a dual role, Iru Mugan is billed as a sci-fi action thriller and stars Nayanthara and Nithya Menen as female leads. The movie is being directed by Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame and is bankrolled by Shibu Thameens.
