Kamalini Mukherjee who makes a comeback to Tamil after a long time with Iraivi is upbeat about the film. Paired opposite SJ Suryah, who plays one of the leads, Kamalini essays the role of a fiercely independent woman who balances her work and home.
“I knew that I wanted to play this character when Karthik narrated the script. Iraivi is a coming-of-age story. I was quite impressed by his onscreen characters and the space each of them occupied. One can see the different layers of the character as the story progresses,” says Kamalini.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Iraivi also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Anjali and Pooja Devariya in important roles. The film is all set for release on June 3rd.
